Taylor Hendrix, RP (Qualifying)

Hi, I’m Taylor, a registered psychotherapist (qualifying), daughter, sister, friend, partner, and mental health advocate. I offer a space to feel safe, reflect, and process the difficult experiences that life can bring. My goal is to provide modern, inclusive, and relatable therapeutic support to your unique mental health journey. I believe in empowering the capacity that we all have to heal and grow.

I specialize in grief and bereavement counselling for adults and children. I also have experience working with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, stress management, life transitions, and trauma. I honour a client-centered, strengths-based, holistic approach using a wide range of evidence-based modalities, including CBT, narrative therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and more. Drawing from these different approaches helps to create a therapy experience that is tailored to each individual’s unique journey and needs instead of using a one-size-fits-all approach. I make it a priority to collaborate with clients to create treatment plans and goals that are attainable and meaningful. I meet you where you are.

My background in psychology and disability services has inspired my pursuit of providing psychotherapy. I graduated from King’s University College with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and criminology and from Yorkville University with a master’s degree in counselling psychology. I continue to strive for lifelong education and the expansion of knowledge through professional development and interactions with clients.

My own personal experiences with mental health have contributed to growth, humility, and a "practice what you preach” mentality. I am also dedicated to creating an inclusive environment for every individual to feel safe, validated, and accepted. Hate and judgment have no place here.
